Three mid-cap stocks—Jindal Steel & Power, Ipca Laboratories, and Rain Industries—have emerged with strong technical setups, signaling breakout potential. Despite overall market caution, these counters show signs of upward momentum.
The Indian equity market is witnessing mixed sentiment as key indices hover near resistance zones amid persistent foreign investor outflows. However, selected mid-cap stocks are defying the broader trend by forming bullish patterns on technical charts.
Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, headquartered in New Delhi, operates in the metals and mining sector with a diversified portfolio in steel production, power, and infrastructure. The stock is currently trading around ₹1,005 after breaking above the critical ₹990 resistance zone. It is forming a higher-high, higher-low structure and remains above its 20-, 50-, 100-, and 200-day simple moving averages. The momentum indicators signal a potential rally toward ₹1,085–1,200, with support seen at ₹960–980.

Mumbai-based Ipca Laboratories Ltd, a key player in India’s pharmaceutical industry, has crossed a multi-month resistance level near ₹1,520. The stock is trading near ₹1,552 with robust volume support and strong readings on momentum indicators. Given its sustained strength above major averages, a further upside toward ₹1,650–1,760 is expected. Price support rests between ₹1,440–1,500.
Rain Industries Ltd, headquartered in Hyderabad and engaged in manufacturing carbon and chemical products, has staged a breakout from a five-month consolidation range between ₹135 and ₹157. The stock, now trading around ₹161, is backed by rising volume and bullish RSI trends. It remains above all key moving averages, indicating a likely move toward ₹170–185. Immediate support is placed between ₹149–155.
The broader indices continue to face overhead resistance in the 25,300–25,500 range. However, these technically strong mid-cap counters may continue to outperform in the near term as long as key support levels are respected.
