The IPO, which consists of a fresh issuance of equity shares and an offer-for-sale (OFS), is priced between ₹401 and ₹425 per share. The offering aims to raise a total of ₹859 crore, with ₹225 crore allocated to fresh equity issuance and ₹634 crore for the offer-for-sale. This marks a significant step for the company, which specializes in high-voltage electrical equipment and solutions crucial for energy transition and electrical grid connectivity.
The IPO began subscription on February 14, 2025, and will close on February 18, 2025. By the first day of the subscription, the issue has been subscribed 62%, with the retail portion receiving 57% subscription. The non-institutional investor (NII) portion has been subscribed 82%, while the qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category is at 54% as of the first day. Despite a slower start, the IPO is performing relatively well compared to other offerings this week, with industry experts indicating that Quality Power may see stronger subscription figures in the coming days.
In a move to boost the IPO’s credibility, Quality Power secured ₹386.41 crore from 21 institutional investors through the anchor book on February 13, 2025. Promoter Chitra Pandyan, who holds 100% of the company’s shares, is selling part of her stake as part of the OFS.
