Genus Power Infrastructures reports strong Q4 FY25 earnings with PAT quadrupling to ₹129.3 crore and revenues rising 123%, boosting shares nearly 9% in Uttar Pradesh, India.
Genus Power Infrastructures Limited, a prominent player in India’s smart metering and power infrastructure sector headquartered in Uttar Pradesh, posted a remarkable set of financial results for the quarter ending March 2025 (Q4 FY25). The company’s shares surged nearly 9% on June 2, 2025, following a strong earnings report driven by efficient execution of smart meter projects and rising demand across the country.
For Q4 FY25, Genus Power’s profit after tax (PAT) soared more than fourfold to ₹129.3 crore compared to ₹31.4 crore in the same quarter last year. Total revenue for the quarter stood at ₹936.8 crore, a significant increase of 123% year-on-year, reflecting the accelerated rollout of smart metering solutions under the government’s Restructured Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) also showed a sharp increase of 276%, rising to ₹208.5 crore from ₹55.5 crore in Q4 FY24. This was accompanied by a substantial improvement in EBITDA margin, which expanded by 905 basis points to reach 22.3%, underscoring improved operational efficiency and disciplined cost management.

Following these results, Genus Power shares climbed as much as 8.8% to ₹430.05 on the intraday session, nearing the company’s 52-week high of ₹485.85 recorded in December 2024. The stock has shown a strong recovery since hitting a 52-week low of ₹237.30 in March 2025 and has gained 26% over the past year, with particularly robust gains in recent months.
