Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) posted strong financial results for Q3FY25, with a 47.3% rise in net profit to ₹1,316.06 crore and a 37% increase in revenue. The company’s strong order book and improved operating performance exceeded analysts’ expectations.


Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), a leading Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), has reported robust financial results for the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year 2024-25. The company posted a 47.3% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to ₹1,316.06 crore, driven by strong growth in revenue and operating profit.

In Q3FY25, the company’s revenue from operations surged 37% to ₹5,643 crore, compared to ₹4,120.10 crore during the same period last year. This was accompanied by a significant 49.64% rise in profit before tax (PBT), which reached ₹1,754.15 crore. The company’s EBITDA also saw impressive growth, increasing by 57.5% YoY to ₹1,653 crore.

Bharat Electronics’ EBITDA margin expanded by 330 basis points to 28.7% in Q3FY25, reflecting improved operational efficiency. The 47.33% increase in profit after tax (PAT) to ₹1,316.06 crore, compared to ₹893.30 crore in the same period last year, exceeded analysts’ expectations.

For the nine-month period ending December 31, 2024 (9MFY25), BEL reported revenue from operations of ₹14,173.68 crore, up from ₹11,484.92 crore in the previous year. The company’s PBT for 9MFY25 stood at ₹4,242.37 crore, marking an increase of 44% YoY. PAT for 9MFY25 surged by 42% to ₹3,183.47 crore.

As of January 1, 2025, Bharat Electronics’ order book stood at ₹71,100 crore, showcasing a strong pipeline of future projects.

The positive results have reflected in the company’s stock price, which was trading 4% higher at ₹278 per share as of 3:00 p.m. BEL has seen a remarkable 300% increase in its stock price over the last two years and a 730% rise over the past five years, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s strong performance.
