The award involves the supply of 40 million doses of its bivalent oral polio vaccine (bOPV) for delivery in Q3 CY2025, valued at approximately US$ 5.20 million (~Rs. 44 Crore).
This new award complements an earlier contract with UNICEF announced in December 2024, under which Panacea Biotec had already secured a supply deal worth ~US$ 14.95 million (~Rs. 127 Crore) for 115 million doses of bOPV in CY2025. The company’s strong partnership with UNICEF further solidifies its commitment to improving global health by providing essential vaccines.
Panacea Biotec’s latest award follows an established long-term arrangement between the company and UNICEF, which will be updated accordingly to include the new contract. The company will deliver the additional doses of bOPV to UNICEF as per the requirements and timelines specified.
The vaccine supply contract will support UNICEF’s ongoing efforts to combat polio worldwide, helping protect children in polio-endemic regions. UNICEF plans to publish the details of this award, including the supplier’s name, vaccine details, and award values, on its official website.
