Wipro Limited, a global IT services leader headquartered in Bengaluru, announced a $375 million acquisition of Harman International’s Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business. The deal strengthens Wipro’s Engineering Research & Development (ER&D) portfolio, bringing over 5,600 employees across 14 countries into its fold.

With operations in more than 60 countries, the company is a major player in cloud, AI, cybersecurity, engineering, and business consulting solutions.
On August 22, 2025, Wipro announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit of Harman Connected Services, a subsidiary of Harman International Industries, which is owned by Samsung Electronics.
The acquisition will be executed for a cash consideration of $375 million, including earn-outs, giving Wipro 100% ownership of DTS and certain related assets. This move is set to broaden Wipro’s ER&D service offerings and provide deeper capabilities across industries.
As part of the transaction, more than 5,600 DTS employees, including leadership teams spread across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, will transition to Wipro once the deal closes.
