OYO, a global travel technology company headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, has emerged as the most profitable Indian startup for the financial year 2024–25 (FY25), reporting a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹623 crore. Founded in 2013, OYO (Oravel Stays Ltd.) operates a tech-driven platform that connects travelers with affordable and premium accommodations across the globe. Backed by global investors including SoftBank, the company has steadily expanded its reach and offerings, particularly in the mid-segment and premium hospitality sector.

As per documents reviewed by PTI, OYO’s PAT surged 172% from ₹229 crore in FY24 to ₹623 crore in FY25. The company also achieved an adjusted EBITDA of ₹1,132 crore, reflecting a 27% year-on-year growth. Notably, this marks the tenth consecutive quarter of EBITDA profitability.

The company attributed this growth to its expanding portfolio of premium offerings such as Sunday Hotels and Townhouse Hotels, as well as its international operations in the UK, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and through its integration with G6 Hospitality.

As of FY25, OYO’s global network includes around 22,700 hotels and 1,19,900 homes, in addition to 91,300 listings on its platform, reinforcing its position as a major player in the global hospitality space.
