Bengaluru-based electric vehicle infrastructure company Kazam has secured $6.2 million in Series B funding, propelling its expansion plans for a globally scalable, device-agnostic EV charging platform. The funding round was led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group focused on private sector growth in developing countries, with participation from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India and Avaana Capital, both known for backing high-growth, climate-focused startups.

Kazam currently operates over 68,000 charging devices across 80 cities in 10 countries, and its interoperable platform enables seamless integration with multiple EV hardware formats. The company has already facilitated over five million charging sessions, supporting the consumption of more than 45 GWh of renewable energy.

In FY25, Kazam achieved 4x revenue growth, increasing from $1.5 million to $6 million. It now sets its sights on $12 million in revenue for FY26, with a focus on advancing EV adoption across emerging markets.

The funding will be used to further develop Kazam’s backend platform that helps fleet operators, charge point owners, and energy providers digitally manage, monitor, and monetize their EV infrastructure. As nations gear up for cleaner transport solutions, Kazam is positioning itself as the digital backbone of the EV revolution in developing regions.

With strategic support from international partners, Kazam is set to drive global growth, foster clean mobility, and build resilient, tech-powered energy ecosystems for the future.
