GameRamp, a Bengaluru and San Francisco-based gaming infrastructure startup, has raised $5.4 million in a significant pre-seed funding round. The round marks one of the largest of its kind in the gaming sector, reinforcing investor confidence in the startup’s AI-driven approach to game monetisation.

Co-founded in April by Vivek Ramachandran and Sashank Vandrangi, GameRamp provides a platform that supports video game and consumer app developers by enabling faster scaling and smarter monetisation strategies through artificial intelligence. The funding will be directed toward expanding engineering and AI teams across India and the United States and accelerating the launch of two flagship services—Sentinel and Grow.

AI-Powered Monetisation Engine

GameRamp’s core proposition is a “monetisation copilot,” a suite of AI tools and APIs designed to optimise monetisation at the user level. Sentinel uses reinforcement learning to deliver real-time personalisation of in-game economies, while Grow provides a one-click embedded financing solution for developers seeking capital.

Our mission is to decentralise publishing and empower small developers to monetise and scale sustainably, AI has significantly lowered development barriers, but monetisation remains a bottleneck. Our tools provide an intelligent path to unlock revenue from day one.”

CEO Ramachandran.

Granular Personalisation for Global Reach

The platform uses reinforcement learning agents embedded across an app’s ecosystem to tailor monetisation experiences for each user. These agents process behavioural and telemetry data to automatically adjust ad placements, offers, and engagement strategies based on factors such as user loyalty, geography, and time spent in-app.

This user-level optimisation is crucial for achieving strong return on ad spend (ROAS) and increasing lifetime value (LTV), especially in competitive markets.”

Strategic Roadmap and Global Vision

GameRamp’s early access platform is currently available to a limited pool of 10–15 developers, with a waitlist exceeding 100. A broader public launch is expected in the next two months. While the initial focus is on video games, the company is also targeting adjacent consumer app sectors including edtech, media, and entertainment.

Future expansions will target high-growth gaming regions such as Japan and South Korea. The team also aims to build tools for advanced ad optimisation and end-to-end ROAS tracking, allowing developers to more effectively manage capital efficiency.
