India’s First ISM-Cleared Pilot Line
The Sanand pilot line is the initial one among the ten projects given the go-ahead under the ₹76,000 crore (USD 9.12 billion) ISM program to commence operations. The commissioning of the line will only consist in the production of qualifying chips for customers with the potential to scale to full commercial production later, reaching about five lakh chips a day in capacity.
The Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Union Minister Vaishnaw, together with the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, performed the inauguration of the facility.
