The 20th instalment of the PM Kisan Yojana is set to be released soon. Here’s how Indian farmers can prepare to receive Rs 2,000.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana), a flagship initiative by the Government of India, is set to release its 20th instalment in June 2025. This scheme, which was launched on December 1, 2018, provides financial assistance to farmers across India, with Rs 6,000 distributed annually in three equal instalments.
Till now, the government has released 19 instalments, and now farmers are eagerly awaiting the 20th instalment. Beneficiaries are expected to receive Rs 2,000 as part of this upcoming payment.
To ensure smooth receipt of the 20th instalment, farmers need to complete a few essential tasks:
- e-KYC Completion:
Farmers must visit the official PM Kisan website (pmkisan.gov.in) to complete their e-KYC process. After entering the Aadhaar number and registered mobile number, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number for verification. - Bank Account-Aadhaar Linking:
Farmers need to ensure their bank accounts are linked to their Aadhaar. This can be done by visiting the nearest bank branch with the required documents, including the Aadhaar card and bank passbook. - Land Verification:
Farmers must visit the nearest agriculture department office to get their land verified. They need to submit documents such as the PM Kisan registration number and farm-related documents (Khasra/Khatuni). After approval, farmers will be eligible for land seeding.
