Kyndryl, a New York-based IT infrastructure services company formed in 2021 after spinning off from IBM, announced on August 21, 2025, that it will invest $2.25 billion in India over three years. The investment will focus on establishing an AI Innovation Lab in Bengaluru, developing IT talent, collaborating with the Government of India, and providing digital training to 200,000 citizens.
Kyndryl, a provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services headquartered in New York and established in 2021 after spinning off from IBM’s infrastructure services unit, announced that it will invest $2.25 billion in India over the next three years.
The company said the investment will support India’s digital growth and technological advancement, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI), IT modernization, and digital upskilling.
As part of the initiative, Kyndryl will establish an AI Innovation Lab in Bengaluru, modeled after its facilities in the U.K. and Singapore. The lab will employ and train professionals in AI, data, cloud, and platform engineering, while also working on governance, critical infrastructure, and cyber resilience projects.

The company will also partner with the Government of India to enhance AI adoption and will provide digital training to around 200,000 citizens through the Kyndryl Skilling program, integrated with the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT).
The Bengaluru AI Lab is expected to advance AI-powered consulting services and will serve as a hub for co-creation experiences with businesses. These efforts will be showcased at the AI Impact Summit in February 2026, where Kyndryl will highlight its AI-enabled operating platform, Kyndryl Bridge.
Currently, Kyndryl serves leading Indian organizations including Bangalore International Airport, Canara Bank, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, National Stock Exchange of India, and Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India. Its future roadmap emphasizes AI, cybersecurity, and hybrid IT modernization to strengthen India’s digital infrastructure and economic growth.
